Things to Know About Olympic Camps
When you are thinking about camps for your little, future medalists, it is important to make sure camps are hosted by United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (“USOPC”) Member Organizations. Each Olympic sport has a Member Organization that regulates amateur athletic programs for that sport. USOPC Member Organizations have strict standards for their coaching staff and are required to adopt Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies (“MAAPP”) as outlined by the U.S. Center for SafeSport. Many of the USOPC Member Organizations bolster their child protection standards even further in order to provide superior safety for the training of young athletes.
